Rehab

My son entered a 6 month rehab last week. Feeling VERY grateful... I am so thankful that God has once again given my son the opportunity for more recovery. He had been home with us for the past year, and even though he wasn't sober the entire time, we definitely saw progress in him toward his recovery- if that makes sense. I will never forget a movie that we saw in one of the rehabs our son was in- (it was a class for the families) in this movie was an elderly man talking about his sobriety. He said it took him 11 rehabs before he truly became sober. He said that he had no idea, or explanation, of why 1 through 10 didn't work. I try to remember this... I truly believe that my son will find, and keep, sobriety one day. I just feel it. As always, all of you and your loved ones are in my prayers.

  2. I am happy to hear that you found a place for your son. I was also able to find a great place for mine. He is 25 years old and has been sober for 8 years! I am so proud of him and I am grateful that I could find people that were able to help my son (as I was ill equipped). If anyone is looking for a great place for help I suggest checking out the New Life House website... it is http://www.newlifehouse.com

  5. It is difficult for an alcoholic to control his cravings toward the substance. The only way out is entering an addiction rehab center. I know a guy a 19-year-old guy in my neighborhood who is presently undergoing alcohol addiction treatment at a center. Read More

  6. I am so glad that you are in a place where you can find peace, even if it's just for a moment. My daughter struggles with narcotic pain killer addiction and I understand what it's like to sleep with one eye open. You are worried that you are going to get the call that he didn't make it, you are worried that you'll get the call that he's in jail, you're worried that he's suffering out there somewhere and you won't get the call. It's just too much.

I am working toward getting my daughter into her first rehab and I pray every day that it comes sooner rather than later, for the both of us. I will keep you in my prayers.

  8. My child entered a 6 month recovery a week ago. Feeling VERY appreciative... I am thankful to the point that God has by and by given my child the open door for more recuperation. He had been home with us for as long as year, and despite the fact that he wasn't calm the whole time, we certainly saw improvement in him toward his recuperation if that bodes well. 10. I am so sad to hear about your son. I am not addicted to drugs, but I am 24 years sober in AA. I am trying to help another friend of mine get free from heroin. SO I have been searching for other ways.Drug rehab Indy
